Special Episode! I want to write a book, now what? Interview with Laura Portwood-Stacer.
Writing is hard…I don’t need to tell you that, right?
On this special episode of ABC, we speak to Laura Portwood-Stacer, publishing consultant and developmental editor for academic authors, and author of The Book Proposal Book: A Guide for Scholarly Authors and Make Your Manuscript Work: A Guide to Developmental Editing for Scholarly Writers.
Laura is an expert in taking ideas and turning them into writing - proposals, manuscripts, and books!
Laura describes herself not as a natural writer, but as someone who is passionate about teaching and communicating ideas effectively.
“For me, I think what comes first is teaching. Communicating information in a very practical and applicable way is what comes naturally to me.”
